ABS vs. Non ABS wheel hub comparison
Up top is the ABS sensor ring. Simple idea, the sensor (not pictures) can tell how fast the wheel is moving by detecting the little windows in the sensor ring.
Can you see where the left spindle has been machined so the ring fits snugly around it and sits flush against the base of the hub?
Notice the conspicuous lack of the three holes needed to secure the ABS ring on the right hand hub.
If you stare at the right hand non-ABS hub long enough you can see the nice radius of the fillet. I need that lathed off. Anybody got a lathe?

T-model wheel. Yes, real wood.
In the late 1920's, and early 1930's, wood spoked wheels went out of style. They were replaced by wire or steel disk wheels. To change the tire on the wheel, you remove four bolts. The wheel stays on the hub. There are no spokes in the spare.
Wood spokes are horse and wagon technology, just one thing that early cars had in common with horse drawn vehicles.
